DESCRIPTION:
EPW - William Morris, London, high grade lever fusee, 56mm, silver OF original case bearing London hallmarks for 1824, "H G" marking in cameo possibly for casemaker Horace Gooch, white enamel dial, KWKS, fully capped table roller lever escapement with passing crescent, 19J, bi-metallic compensation balance, gilt mvt, s#3030.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, minor oxide to set-up steelwork, few fine and micro-fine scratches to bright plates; dial has one very faint hl within upper portion of seconds-register; fine-plus hands with some spots of finish loss; case shows light wear, scattered pinprick nicks to band and rear, one small ding to rear near center; bow pivots freely; glass crystal with some fine scratches.
